   A Good Module...

This module can definitely help you save time, communicate better with your customers, keep track of unfilled orders, and send out marketing material / boost sales.
We use it along with the VC Affiliate Manager module. When we fulfill an order, the Order Status Manager sends out an email providing the customer with a tracking number so they can track delivery of the package online, and also includes links to some of our best selling products. Those links have an affiliate code from the Affiliate Manager which entitles the customer to a 10% discount (which we state boldly in the email).
So if you can process a customer's order quickly, they might be some impressed by your customer service that they go ahead and place another order right away once they get the email notification with the 10% discount.
The reason I don't give it FIVE stars is because you really have to buy the accompanying Order Status Login module to make it easy for customers to lookup their orders, and you would probably have to spend even more money to get the accompanying Delete / Export Orders module as well. If you get a lot of orders and don't delete frequently, the database files start to get pretty big, pretty quickly. My hosting company (hostasaurus) kept notifying me that I was going over my disk usage limit, and that the databases from this module were taking up about 60 MEGS of disk space on the server.
But all in all, a worthwhile module.

Where would we be without this module? Answering non-stop emails and phone calls day and night! Works flawlessly - this is one module that we simply could not operate without!

If you could buy just one module -- this would be the one! I have saved so much time with this module. My customers are impressed with the level of communication coming from us regarding their orders and it helps me keep track backorders etc. We used to receive at least 5 calls a day on our 800 number for tracking numbers -- now -- NO CALLS! Our customers can just log in and check their own status. Saved me tons on phone bills, not to mention the time saved replying to emails (where is my order, etc) Completely configurable and easy to use and set up!
