Barrett,

It is heaven compared to developing with mivascript or php. The downside is that it is still in its infancy in terms of hosting support--but as we've seen in the Merchant world, a few specialist hosts can do wonders.

We had an IT specialist walk in to our store one day that ended up helping me rid one of our windoze boxes of the Stopzilla demo.... got to chatting with the guy about coding and scripting etc and he had mentioned Ruby on Rails as something really promising to look into especially for developing server side applications. Sounds like a positive trend.
