General Module Issues
{docurl}
When uploading a module, I receive the following error: "File is either corrupt or not a valid compiled Miva Script file".
There are a number of possible causes.
- You are trying to upload an uncompiled module (for Merchant 4.13 or lower) in a compiled store (Merchant 4.14 or higher). Be sure you have the correct version of the module for your version of Merchant.
- You are using IE on a Mac. There is a known bug in the Mac version of IE that corrupts browser-based file uploads. Try using a PC, a different browser, or manually uploading the file with a ftp program.
- You are trying to upload a zipped file. Be sure you unzip the file you downloaded first. The file(s) to upload should have the file extension .mvc if running compiled Merchant.
- The module is actually corrupt. Try re-downloading the file.
