How can I offer free shipping for downloadable products?

Soft Goods doesn't have any control over how shipping is handled in your store, that is entirely dependent on your shipping configuration. If you carry only soft goods, the simplest approach is to use the Flat Rate Shipping module and configure a free shipping method called something like "free shipping". If you sell both hard and soft goods, the best solution depends on your shipping setup. If using a weight based shipping module, most stores just set the product weight to zero for downloadable products. Another approach is to use a shipping module that allows you to flag particular products as free.
