How to Sell Gift Certificates Within Your Store

This is a two step process.

Step One: Create a product in your store for the gift certificate. Customers will purchase this product from your store in the normal manner when they want to purchase the gift certificate.

For example, if you want to sell a $20 gift certificate, you might create a product in your store named "$20 Gift Certificate" (and price it at $20 naturally). Put this product into your store like any other product.

Step Two: Go into the module's admin and create a gift certificate for this product. Create a gift certificate with the same value as the product. In this case, $20. After creating the certificate in the module's admin, click on the "Product" tab for that certificate and search for the "$20 Gift Certificate" product (by pressing the little search button) or enter the product code for that product. Then click on the "update" button. Having associated this gift certificate with that product, whenever anyone purchases the product, the module will generate a key for that gift certificate.
