Once I enter a coupon it remains in the basket even if I leave and come back.

coupons not expiring

If a coupon is entered, but you don't finish checking out, the coupon remains in the basket until any of the following occurs:

- you complete your order
- your basket changes in such a way as to invalidate the coupon (e.g. removing enough to be below the minimum subtotal)
- your basket expires and expired baskets are deleted through admin. There is currently still a bug in Merchant where basket charges don't get deleted automatically when the basket expires, they remain until expired baskets are purged in admin.
