My customers are receiving their status emails but the link is not "active", i.e. when they click on it it will not take them to status page.

(2004/05/04)It sounds like you have the "send as html" option checked (so that the email is sent in html format) but the %tracklink% and %statuslink% tokens will display the URL only, not an actual html link. You can make it a legitimate link by replacing it with the html tag such as;

<a href="%tracklink%">%tracklink%</a>

which will display the url as a link to the page.
