I would like to base the exported file name on the date or the batch name. Can I do this?
Q (2003/12/01): I would like to base the exported file name on the date or the batch name. Can I do this?
A: I have added tokens that can be used in the file name. So to make this information part of the file name, simply use the apropriate token in the "Export to file:" field:
%month% (the current month, as a number)
%dayofmonth% (the current day of the month)
%year% (the current year)
%storename%
%storeowner%
%storeemail%
%storecompany%
%storeaddress%
%storecity%
%storestate%
%storezip%
%storephone%
%storefax%
%storecountry%
%batch_month% (the month in which the batch was created, as a number)
%batch_dayofmonth% (the day of the month in which the batch was created)
%batch_year% (the year in which the batch was created)
%batch_name% (the name of the batch)
So to base the name of the export file on the batch name, simply use:
%batch_name%.dat
to export the file to a file named after the batch name (with a .dat extension).
